EVENT INFORMATION

MusicFest 2010: Sounds of Hope, a Benefit for Refuge House, was held on Sunday, October 17 on the spacious grounds of Unity Eastside Church, 8551 Buck Lake Road in Tallahassee. It was a non-religious community event.

Community friends joined with members of Unity Eastside to create MusicFest 2010.

This event featured 4 hours of music on 2 stages, performed by well-known local musicians. Performers will include Sir Charles Atkins, The New 76ers, Harvest Gypsies, Frank Lindamood, Mark Russell, Reckless Daughters & The Lost Boys, and Cicada Ladies.

We also had

  • Silent Auction
  • Seated Massage
  • Fabulous Food
  • Bake Sale
  • Fun Activities for Children and Adults.

All proceeds of the event went to Refuge House, which has provided safe shelter and related services for women and children escaping abuse since 1979. Today, the need for their services is greater than ever, but funding is harder to find.

You can e-mail us at MusicFest@Unity-Eastside.orgWe will be seeking sponsors and volunteers soon for our 2011 event.  Hope to see you there!
